  • Monthly Strategy Teleconferences

    • Collaborate with colleagues in Committees to:
      • Better understand regulatory issues
      • Assess opportunities to address policy concerns with key regulatory and other health authorities
      • Develop Educational & Advocacy Plans.
    • Lead development and submission of comments to key regulatory announcements promulgated by regulatory authorities.
    • Chairs of Geographical Committees (GCs) are members of the Advisory Board during their one-year terms.

    • Join RHI's Speaker's Bureau and be part of the presentation team for workshops directed at key regional regulatory authorities and their constituent companies.

Group/Institutional Members

Group members include any standing group, whether formally or informally organized and having an interest or desiring an understanding of global regulatory requirements.

Institutional members include any company, academic institution, non-profit organization, other association duly organized in their state, province or country, or any department, division or other subgroup.

Geographical Committees (GCs)

  • Identification of the best scientific and risk-based (regulatory) practices can only result from substantial deliberation and discussion.
  • Following identification of best practices, implementation of regulatory best practices requires effective communication to all stakeholders, industry and regulators.
  • The primary education and advocacy positions of RHI shall be based upon the work of its various GCs.
  • GCs are organized geographically around disciplines pertinent to RHI's mission, and are open to all members having knowledge and expertise in the relevant regulatory subject matter. Individuals, consultants, academicians, and employees of Group/Institutional Members may serve on the GCs.
  • Group/Institutional Membership fees will cover the cost of one allotted representative from each Group/Institutional Member to sit on each formed GC.
  • GCs work on developing and implementing Educational and Advocacy Plans (EAPs) that will be approved by the Advisory Board.

GC - Operations

  • All GCs will nominate and elect a Chairperson and Vice chairperson. Chair serves for one-year.
  • Vice-Chair is successor. Annually, only the Vice-Chair will be elected. Working together with RHI staff, the Chair and Vice-Chair will be primarily responsible for developing Committee agendas.
  • Committee meetings are always open, with discussion and acceptance of past meeting minutes and the proposed current Agenda.
  • All GCs operate on consensus.
  • It is the responsibility of each GC to develop and propose to the RHI Advisory Board an EAP that is within that GC's subject matter expertise.
